We are Green Deal Approved Installers

In order to qualify for a boiler grant you need to meet certain eligibility criteria. You can find out if you’re likely to qualify or not by reading below or contacting us.

You will need to answer a few simple questions.

Here is some information about the criteria you’ll need to meet, the questions we’ll ask you and why.

About your home

Firstly we’ll ask you about your current living situation. As long as you own your own home or you are a tenant living in privately rented accommodation (and you have your landlord’s permission) you might be eligible for a boiler grant to replace your old boiler. (Please note that we can only accept applications for non-rented properties at the moment, but you may still qualify for a grant through the ECO scheme elsewhere).

Your benefits

The ECO scheme was set up with the intention of helping households on the lowest incomes to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their energy bills.

You must be in receipt of one of the following benefits to apply:

  • Universal Credit
  • Tax Credits (Child Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits)
  • Pension Guarantee Credit
  • Carer's Allowance
  • Constant Attendance Allowance
  • Personal Independence Payment
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Severe Disablement Allowance
  • War Pensions Mobility Supplement
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment
  • Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income Support
  • Child Benefit *

*If you claim Child Benefit, there are maximum income thresholds:

If you are a single claimant:

One child: £18,500

Two children: £23,000

Three children: £27,500

Four or more children: £32,000

If you are claiming as a couple:

One child: £25,500

Two children: £30,000

Three children: £34,500

Four or more children: £39,000

Your boiler

Currently we can are accepting applications for first time central heating and boiler upgrades.

How does the process work?

We will confirm that you meet all the necessary criteria. We’ll then need to check what benefits you receive, your annual household income, how many children are living in your home and confirm your status (whether you’re a private tenant or own your own home).

We will also ask you for the make and model of your current boiler (if applicable), the condition it is in and whereabouts it’s located. If you can have all of this information to hand when you call (or when we arrange to call you) we’ll be able to get your application processed a lot quicker.
